The Lee Health Bloodmobile will be visiting The Pine Island Moose Lodge at 8903 Stringfellow Road in Saint James City on Saturday, July 25, from 8 a.m. to noon. At Lee Health, donated blood goes to help save the lives of patients at your community-owned hospitals: Lee Memorial Hospital, HealthPark Medical Center, Golisano Children’s Hospital of SW Florida, Gulf Coast Medical Center and Cape Coral Hospital. In addition to the five hospitals, our blood center also services the Level II Trauma Center at Lee Memorial Hospital and the Regional Cancer Center at the Sanctuary. Sidewalk repairs along Stringfellow to continue until February
Sidewalk repairs along Stringfellow Road on Pine Island are continuing. The Lee County Department of Transportation reports this project involves the removal and replacement of sidewalk panels along Stringfellow Road where cracking and concrete deterioration has occurred. For the duration of this project, work will take place Monday through Saturday, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., pending weather or unforeseen circumstances. There will be intermittent lane closures and sidewalk detours as a part of this project.
