Sidewalk repairs along Stringfellow to continue until February
Sidewalk repairs along Stringfellow Road on Pine Island are continuing.
The Lee County Department of Transportation reports this project involves the removal and replacement of sidewalk panels along Stringfellow Road where cracking and concrete deterioration has occurred.
For the duration of this project, work will take place Monday through Saturday, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., pending weather or unforeseen circumstances.
There will be intermittent lane closures and sidewalk detours as a part of this project. Motorists and pedestrians are asked to use caution and follow posted signage while traveling through the work zone.
Lee DOT officials indicated that the construction work is anticipated to be completed by February 2027, weather permitting.
