Heart’n Soul Hospice seeks volunteer help

Heart’n Soul Hospice is looking for volunteers who want to spend 1-2 hours per with its patients. Volunteers are a valued and integral part of the hospice program. They work with patients and their families as they cope with the challenges that come with having a terminal illness. Hospice volunteers have direct patient contact and can also provide administrative support. The next volunteer training classes are scheduled for the Heart’n Soul office in Fort Myers. Lee County Government is encouraging homeowners to be “flood aware” before the height of the 2026 hurricane season to reduce their flood risk in Southwest Florida. Lee County urges residents to: • Know your hazard: Lee County has experienced severe weather in the past with extreme rainfall and tropical systems resulting in flooding in low-lying, coastal and riverine areas.
