At Lee Health, donated blood goes to help save the lives of patients at your community-owned hospitals: Lee Memorial Hospital, HealthPark Medical Center, Golisano Children’s Hospital of SW Florida, Gulf Coast Medical Center and Cape Coral Hospital. Lee DOT begins sidewalk improvements along Stringfellow Road
The Lee County Department of Transportation reminds Pine Island residents that sidewalk improvements began Monday, June 29, along Stringfellow Road. This project includes the removal and replacement of sidewalk panels in areas where cracking and concrete deterioration have occurred. Construction crews will begin on the south side of Stringfellow Road near St. James City and progress north as work advances. The project schedule will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m, Monday through Saturday. Pedestrians and bicyclists should expect to see intermittent sidewalk closures and are encouraged to follow posted signage. American Legion District 13 accepting donations for July Teddy Bear Run
American Legion District 13, which serves veterans and their families across Southwest Florida, covering Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry, and Lee counties, is collecting teddy bears for the Christmas in July Teddy Bear Run to benefit the children at Golisano Children’s Hospital. The run will be held Saturday, July 25, at 11 a.m., starting at Post 38 on Jackson Street in Fort Myers.
