Museum of the Islands membership drive continues

June is the Museum of the Islands Membership Drive Month. This all-volunteer museum, established 36 years ago, is a cultural treasure preserving island history, such as the Calusa Tribe dating back several thousand years and also the area’s important and interesting fishing industry.  By investing in a museum membership, islanders can insure that the rich history of Pine Island and surrounding islands can be preserved and enjoyed for generations to come. FISH Basket Brigade clothes drive deadline extended to June 27

The FISH Basket Brigade clothes drive deadline has been extended!  Parents who find it financially difficult to purchase new clothes and gym shoes for the 2026-27 school year, please complete a form so FISH can provide children aged 5 to 12 with two shirts, two pairs of shorts, underwear, socks and a gift card for gym shoes. Please consider sizing up as summer growth is a real possibility. Children aged 13 - 17 will be provided a gift card to select their own new clothes. Once again, American Legion Post 136 will be the proud sponsors of both the parade and the fireworks.
