Sizzle Dining runs through September across Southwest Florida

An annual late-summer dining event across Southwest Florida is returning for its biggest year yet while celebrating a major milestone.  Sizzle Dining, which is marking its 10th year, will run the entire month of September, encouraging the community to “save, support, and celebrate.” The event gives participants a chance to indulge in Southwest Florida flavors and delectable cuisines, as foodies have the opportunity to dine at a record-high number of restaurants throughout the month, for less. Lee Health Bloodmobile at Moose Lodge Sept. 19

The Lee Health Bloodmobile will be visiting The Pine Island Moose Lodge at 8903 Stringfellow Road in St. James City on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 8 a.m. to noon. All the blood collected remains in Lee Health, which includes the Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida, the Regional Cancer Center and the only Trauma Center (which is located in the Lee Memorial Hospital) within a 5-county radius. PIAA gearing up for fall season

The Pine Island Art Association, also known as PIAA, is ramping up for fall season. Along with scheduled classes Monday through Friday, the association is also offering a special 2-day workshop by Jane Slivka, noted acrylic painter and teacher.
