Concrete work on Little Pine Island Bridge postponed

MATLACHA, Fla. – The planned concrete operations on the Little Pine Island Bridge have been postponed due to weather conditions, according to a report from the Florida Department of Transportation. An announcement will be made when the concrete operations have been rescheduled. Construction continues on Phase 2 of Little Pine Island Bridge project

Phase 2 of construction has begun on the Little Pine Island Bridge continues. All traffic has shifted onto the newly constructed westbound side of the bridge, allowing two-lane traffic on the new bridge. Please join the Friends of the Pine Island Library for an update on the Pine Island Oral History Project followed by the membership meeting Tuesday, Nov. 18, from 1:30-4 p.m. in the library classroom at 10701 Russell Road Bokeelia The Friends of the Pine Island Library are a volunteer, fundraising, book loving, support group for the library.
