VFW offering new Veteran Outreach Program
The Greater Pine Island VFW Post 4353, located at 8150 Stringfellow Road, St. James City, has announced a new program to assist veterans of all ages.
The Veteran Outreach Program is designed to reach out to area veterans for camaraderie, to share military experiences, to acquaint them with other programs at the VFW and to offer support to veterans.
Any veteran can access this program by calling Guylyn DeMeyere at 239-565-4319. A VFW or Auxiliary Ambassador will be assigned to contact the veteran.
The veteran will be invited to have lunch at the VFW and transportation will be available if desired. While at the VFW the members will be there to share stories, tell tall tales, enjoy food and drink and forge friendships with fellow veterans.
The VFW has received phone calls from people who have heard about the program. Don’t be left out!
