Friends of the Pine Island Library to host Historic Bike Tour Jan. 30

The Friends of the Pine Island Library encourage you to join us in a brand new activity this season, an Historic Bike Tour of the north end of Pine Island. We will begin the tour at 9 a.m. on Jan. 30 at the library at 10701 Russell Road, Bokeelia. Arrive with your bicycle and helmet (required) and take off for a learning exercise event. There will be stops approximately every mile to stretch and chat about the history of our beautiful island. We plan to be back at the library finishing our tour about noon.
Don’t have a bike? The incredible Island Bikeworks have bikes and helmets for rent. Contact them directly at 239-560-0320 or better yet, in person at 10571 Stringfellow Road, Bokeelia.
How do you get to be one of the lucky 20 participants? Call or text Mel at 224-330-7193 and give her your information and $20. The funds will be used to supplement activities at the library including the summer reading program for island kids.
