Our boat was boarded by the FBI
To the editor:
While serving as a stop at the Dec., 8, Pine Island Boat Club Poker Run, put on to raise money for the Calusa Land Trust, we were boarded by the FBI. That stands for Female Boat Inspectors, a boat-ably captained by Guylyn Demeyers and her merry band of beautiful bevies!
In order to “pass inspection” one had to show a prominent beer belly, offer cold drinks and snacks and be willing to be patted down. What a great idea! We were passed by the Lee County Sheriff as we were being inspected and the sheriff smartly kept on going without a word.
Everyone had a lot of fun, a lot of money was won and a lot was donated to the Land Trust.
I would like to personally thank the FBI for the pat down!
