Norm’s Tasting Notes: 2024 Franciscan Estate Sauvignon Blanc
Recently we dined on quiche Lorraine and Caesar salad, accompanied by a nice bottle of sauvignon blanc from the California vineyards of Franciscan Estate. What a treat for a late summer, early fall dinner. The wine and quiche were a perfect pair! (The chardonnay queen said so!)
The Franciscan is a good example of California sauvignon blanc with good balance and high marks for food appeal! The abundant flavors are green apple, pineapple and lime zest, with a big crisp fruit finish. The alcohol content is 12.8%, and Norm’s score is 90.
This is a good choice for a variety of foods from salad to seafood, or you can just enjoy a chilled glass as a backporch sipper!
Score: 90
Price: $13-$17
Now, that’s just the way I see it, and you can tell them I said so!
Here’s looking at you, Kid!
