National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week is April 12-18

Join Lee County in recognizing April 12-18 as “National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week” to celebrate the professionals who safeguard the health, safety and well-being of the community.

National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week is organized nationally by the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International. It was officially recognized by Congress in 1991 to honor dispatchers and emergency personnel. This year’s event features the theme “Answering Together.”

As part of this year’s event, Lee County Public Safety’s social media platforms will feature updates about call takers and dispatchers as well as other department staff.
