School District launches Advanced Academics and STEAM program page on its website

The School District of Lee County has launched the Advanced Academics and STEAM program page on its website. The new page is the landing site for parents, students and community members to learn more about the Advanced and STEAM programs available in kindergarten through 12th grade.

The landing page provides a brief description of the programming options, a feature of the month, and a calendar of upcoming projects.

Additionally, there are links to the programs and schools that students in elementary, middle and high school can use to add increased rigor to their curriculum.

At the elementary level, students can participate in:

• Arts

• Cambridge AICE Pathway

• Gifted

• International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme

In middle school, the available advanced and STEAM programs are:

• Arts

• Cambridge AICE Pathway

• Career and Technical Education

• Gifted Program

• International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme

And at the high school level, students have access to:

• AP Capstone

• Arts

• Cambridge AICE

• Career and Technical Education

• Collegiate Academy at FGCU

• Comprehensive High Schools

• Dual Enrollment

• Gifted Program

• International Baccalaureate Programme

• Technical Colleges and Southwest Florida Public Service Academy
