Museum of the Islands to hold art show, sale Aug. 10
There will be an art show at the Museum of the Islands for the Pine Island Plein Air Painters of History and the children’s free art class in Matlacha on Monday, Aug. 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Everyone is welcome to come by, see the paintings and purchase directly from the artists. Those in our plein air group may bring their work and sell it onsite at the museum Aug. 10. Guests can also come by and meet the artist. The group will also be painting there that day.
Some of the child artists from the children’s free art program will be there and have their work on exhibit for sale, too. This is a great opportunity for them to see another side of the art world, selling their art.
Artists must be present to sell their own work. Originals only. Framing is optional. One hundred present of sales are for the artists to keep.
If you would like to donate to the museum, it is a 501(c)(3)non-profit organization.
MOTI is at 5728 Sesame Drive, just north of The Center, Bokeelia. Call (239) 283-1525 for additional information.
