Bond set at $5.1 million for teacher accused of possession of child pornography
Not-guilty plea entered
A Lee County public school teacher has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of possessing child pornography and animal cruelty.
Graham Freeman, 56, of Cape Coral, has been charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography, and one count of animal cruelty possessing an image or video or animals engaged in sexual activity.
In an email to The Breeze Friday, School District of Lee County spokesperson Rob Spicker said, “He has been removed from the classroom pending termination by the School Board.”
Charges against Freeman were filed by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
Freeman remains in custody at Lee County Jail on a $5.1 million bond — a $500,000 bond for each of the 10 child pornography charges, as well as a $100,000 for the animal cruelty charge.
Special conditions with the bond including surrendering passports, a GPS monitor with bond, and no contact with minor children.
A motion to reduce bail was filed by his attorney on Friday, according to court records.
A not-guilty plea was filed to the court on Monday.
