Back to School Basket Brigade a big success
Pine Island FISH would like to extend a big “thank you” to all the adopters and supporters for making the Basket Brigade, Back to School, a rousing success!
FISH especially wants to express its thanks to the following organizations who went above and beyond to help: Cape Royal Community Foundation, Pine Island United Methodist Church, Nancy Cote & volunteers of the Beacon of Hope, Matlacha Hookers, American Legion Auxiliary, St John’s Episcopal Church, Fishers of Men Lutheran Church, Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, and the Greater Pine Island Alliance with the Lion’s Club, who piggybacked with the FISH give-away with much needed school supplies for the elementary school children.
There were 130 children from age 5 to 12 who received clothing and a gift card for new shoes, plus ages 13 to 17 who received gift cards for them to buy their own clothes and shoes.
FISH is proud to be a part of the Greater Pine Island area. The community is such a blessing.
