Matlacha Hookers announce 2026 Hooked on Education Scholarship winners
The Matlacha Hookers celebrated the 2026 Hooked on Education Scholarship winners by awarding $28,000 for 14 scholarships to local students pursuing higher education and trade school in the upcoming fall semester. These scholarships are made possible through the generous support of the island community and events such as the Lucky Hook Up, Mrs. Roper Romp, Santa Con and our always popular Meat Raffles.
The 2026 Matlacha Hookers Scholarship winners are Cameron Dollar, Reagan Dollar, Brooke Schaal and Sage Romero; and back row – Nicholas Ford, Leiana Boyd, Marlon Martin, Blake Schaal, Skyla Stevens, Savannah Lynch, Darien Brown, Grayce Smith, Corin Scrudato and Meagan Kunkel.
The Matlacha Hookers were thrilled to have the 2026 scholarship winners along with their family and friends join attend the group’s general membership meeting at the American Legion Post 136 in St. James City on June 8.
