Libertarian Party of Lee County to host two candidate forums
The Libertarian Party of Lee County will hold two forums in the upcoming weeks to provide a platform for 2026 Candidates and School Board Candidates to address the community.
With a school board meeting scheduled on Monday, Aug. 3, the Libertarian Party of Lee County aims to engage with candidates and voters alike on critical issues.
The 2026 Candidates Forum, scheduled for Monday, Aug. 3 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., will take place at Duffy’s Sports Grill at 627 Cape Coral Parkway. This forum will offer an opportunity for candidates to share their views and plans with the public ahead of the upcoming elections.
All candidates have been invited.
“We are thrilled to provide a platform for 2026 Candidates to connect with the community and discuss their visions for the future,” said Clifford T. Mitchem, chair of the Libertarian Party of Lee County, in a prepared statement.

In addition, the School Board Candidate Forum will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 5, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Shoeless Joe’s, lat 13051 Bell Tower Drive, Fort Myers. This forum will focus on the vital role of School Board Candidates in shaping education policies and programs in the community.
“Education is a cornerstone of our society, and we look forward to hearing from School Board Candidates about their plans to enhance our schools,” Mitchem said.
