Pine Island Elementary holds annual Step Up Day for students, parents
Last Tuesday, May 26, Pine Island Elementary hosted Step Up Day, giving students an exciting opportunity to visit the grade level above them and learn about the expectations for the upcoming school year. Students met their “new teachers,” who shared helpful information about what they can look forward to in their next grade level.
Incoming Kindergarten students and their families also visited PIE to learn all about what Kindergarten has to offer and to become familiar with the school environment. In addition, Trafalgar Middle School Assistant Principal Dawn Beckman visited PIE to speak with fifth-grade students about middle school life and what they can expect next year.
Step Up Day was a fun and informative event, and everyone enjoyed learning more about the exciting opportunities that await them next school year!
