Local teen Jimmy Bellin of St. James City has earned a spot representing Team USA at the 2026 UCI BMX World Championship this July in Brisbane.

Bellin, 14, has been racing BMX since the age of 5, and his years of hard work, discipline and dedication have propelled him to the highest levels of competition. Now, he will take his talents to the international stage as he competes against the world’s best riders.

Community support has played an important role in helping make this opportunity possible. To celebrate Bellin’s achievement and rally behind him before he departs, Green Beret Guns and Ammo will host a community reception Saturday, May 9, at 2 p.m.

The event will feature prizes, refreshments and an opportunity for residents to show their support for one of the area’s most promising young athletes.

Come out and cheer on this hardworking local rider as he prepares to represent his hometown — and his country — on the world stage.

Green Beret Guns and Ammo is at 10480 Stringfellow Road, St James City. Call (239) 837-4867 for additional information.
