Friends of the Pine Island Library collecting books for annual sales
Are you packing up to go back North? Are you spring cleaning? Do you have books, puzzles, games, DVDs, that you are ready to get rid of? The Friends of the Pine Island Library would gladly take them off your hands.
The Friends are planning two book sales next year and would love to have islanders donations to sell. Go ahead and mark your calendars now, Dec. 11, 2026. and Feb. 5, 2027. Donations of gently used books, especially children’s books, as well as puzzles, DVDs and games can be dropped off at the Pine Island Library any Tuesday through Saturday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. The Friends say thank you in advance for helping them raise funds for the new Matlacha Story Walk, the new Makerspace at the library, the Summer Reading Program and other fun activities for island residents.
