Island elementary students run toward fitness, school support
Pine Island Elementary School recently combined fitness and fundraising during a spirited Fun Run held as part of students’ physical education classes.
The event gave students an opportunity to stay active while raising money for the school’s Parent-Teacher Organization. Proceeds from the Fun Run will go directly back into classrooms and toward school needs, supporting educational resources and activities that benefit all students.
Beyond fundraising, the Fun Run reinforced the importance of physical activity and healthy habits. Through events like this, Pine Island Elementary encourages students to build lifelong habits of exercise and become healthy, active citizens.
The excitement and energy shown by participants highlighted the positive impact that movement and teamwork can have on student well-being.
Pine Island Elementary extends its sincere thanks to the school’s P.T.O. for organizing and supporting the event, as well as to the many volunteers who helped make the day a success.
A special thank you goes to P.E. teacher Coach Frantz for championing the Fun Run and encouraging students every step of the way.
The school also expresses its appreciation to the parents, family members and community supporters who generously donated to this worthy cause. Islanders’ continued support makes a meaningful difference in the lives of Pine Island Elementary students.
P.I.E. is grateful for the strong partnership between school and community and looks forward to many more events that promote health, teamwork and educational success.
