In recognition of its 50th Anniversary, the Calusa Land Trust is hosting a celebration picnic for the entire Pine Island community. This event will be held Saturday, March 7, from noon to 3 p.m., at its Fritts Park (off Beach Daisy Lane in Bokeelia).

The free event’s luncheon and soft beverages will be enhanced with live music presented by BROTHER LOVE, kids activities, 50/50 drawings, CLT merchandise and the opportunity join the land trust and its island preservation spirit.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs and coolers.

The Calusa Land Trust is Pine Island’s all volunteer land conservancy. It presently owns and stewards over 2,400 island acres. It was founded in 1976 by a handful of dedicated individuals concerned with maintaining the uniqueness of this island. Please join in celebration of its accomplishments and continued prosperity.
