The Friends of the Pine Island Library held a Jigsaw Puzzle Race Saturday, Jan. 10, cosponsored by the Library. Six teams of 2-4 members each had 3.5 hours to put together a 500-piece puzzle. In just 2 hours, the winning team of Jack, Wes and Kathleen McInerny, finished the beautiful pile of books puzzle. They won a $40 gift card to Gateway Cafe.
Just seconds behind the winners, the second place team of Vicki Janda, Barb Polek, Marty Kendall, and Robert Ballard found some hidden pieces in a puzzle tray, and popped those pieces in to complete the puzzle.
Every team had the option to take their puzzle with them. A wonderful time was had by all. Many thanks to Cheryl Graham of the Friends for her hard work planning and managing the event.
