The Kiwanis Club of Pine Island is once again partnering with Alden Pines Country Club to bring participants a true trail run experience, the 2026 Pine Island Calusa Trial 5K Run/Walk on Jan. 31. The course winds through the golf course — which has been closed since Hurricane Ian — where less than half the cart path remains intact. Expect bumps, ruts and a few inclines along the way… perfect for your adventurous side!

Register now at https://runsignup.com/Race/FL/Bokeelia/2022PineIsland5K

Bring your family, friends, and furry companions for a fun morning outdoors.

New this year, participant medals will be awarded to all finishers — more details coming soon!

Race tech shirts are guaranteed for all participants registered by Jan. 1.

Post-race refreshments will be available for all participants, with awards beginning around 9:15 a.m.

The Alden Pines Clubhouse is at 14261 Clubhouse Drive, off Rain Tree Drive, Bokeelia

Packet pick-up and registration will be Thursday, Jan. 29, from 5-7 p.m., at Century 21, 10191 Stringfellow Road, St. James City.

The race starts at 7 a.m.

Race-day registration is available via mobile device only and may depend on signal strength. All proceeds benefit the Kiwanis Club and the children’s programs at the Calusa Heritage Trail.

As this event is a fundraiser, if weather forces cancellation or if you are unable to attend, registration fees will be considered a donation supporting local children’s programs.
