Pine Island Elementary hosts STEM Night for families
Pine Island Elementary School was buzzing with excitement Tuesday, Dec. 16, as students and families gathered for a memorable STEM Night filled with hands-on learning and community involvement.
Students had the opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering and math through a variety of interactive activities, including an immersive experience in the STAR Lab.
The evening also featured several special guests who brought learning to life beyond the classroom.
Adam’s Animal Encounters delighted students with a mini-zoo, giving families a close-up look at a variety of animals while learning about wildlife.
Calusa Waterkeeper shared valuable lessons on the importance of oysters and their role in maintaining a healthy environment.
Calusa Land Trust educated students about gopher tortoises and the vital role they play in Florida’s ecosystem.
Families also enjoyed food provided by Pine Island Pizza and Winn-Dixie, adding to the festive and welcoming atmosphere of the event.
A BIG thank you goes to PIE teacher Regina Notarianni for organizing such an outstanding evening. Her dedication helped create a fun, educational experience that families truly enjoyed. STEM Night at Pine Island Elementary was a wonderful evening of learning, exploration and community connection.
