December programs planned at Pine Island Public Library
This month’s roster of activities at the Pine Island Public Library offers topics for all ages. The following programs are free to the public.
Adult Programs
One-on-One Help
2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 4, 18
Need help with a phone, tablet or laptop? Are you looking to gain basic computer skills? We can help with a 15-minute, one-on-one technology help session. Bring your own fully charged device and any passwords or use a library computer to receive direct instruction.
Holly Jolly Holiday Event
10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 20
Have a holly jolly good time at this all-ages holiday event. Visit Santa and Mrs. Claus and build a mini gingerbread house. There will be games and crafts for kids and adults will enjoy a special craft. Holiday refreshments will be served. No registration is required.
Children’s Programs
Preschool Holiday Playdate
10:30 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 4
Preschoolers can kick off the holiday season at this fun playdate and bubble snow dance party. Enjoy playing with friends as we share a story, sing, play games and create crafts. Light refreshments will be served. For children ages 2 – 5 years.
Lego Club
4 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 9
Calling all super fans to Lego Club for challenges inspired by your favorite characters. Awards will be given for the best creations and light refreshments will be served. For children ages 6-11 years.
Superhero S. T. E. A.M.
10:30 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 11
Calling all superheroes. Join us for some super-fun as we build a superhero city, make Spidey’s slimy web and help Batman escape from an icy prison. A short story, songs, games, arts and crafts will also be provided. Don’t forget to wear your cape or superhero costume. For children ages 2 – 5 years.
