Traffic detour to begin Friday
Beginning Friday, Oct. 10, at approximately 8 a.m., the southbound right-turn lane on SR 739 (North Tamiami Trail) onto westbound Pondella Road (78A) will be closed.
During this time, motorists are asked to use the posted detour.
When traveling southbound on SR 739, motorists will turn right onto River Road, located north of Pondella Road, to access westbound Pondella Road.
Pedestrians wanting to cross the road at the intersection should follow the posted detour signage.
This closure will allow crews to reconstruct and widen the northwest quadrant at the intersection.
This detour is estimated to last through mid-November. All scheduling is subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
