Fire claims another island business
At approximately 2 a.m. this morning, members of the Matlacha-Pine Island fire department responded to a fire in St. James CIty. On arriving at the Low Key Tiki, firefighters battled flames at the rear of the building and the outdoor tiki bar. The main structure of the business only suffered from smoke damage while the tiki bar was a total loss.
At this time, the cause of the blaze is unknown and is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s office.
