Keep Lee County Beautiful, Inc. (KLCB) has named Megan Hill as its new education specialist.

Hill is currently pursuing a degree in environmental studies with a concentration in environmental education at Florida Gulf Coast University. Growing up in Southwest Florida and spending time at local beaches, nature trails, and waterways inspired her passion for environmental education and community outreach.

“Being surrounded by these beautiful environments motivated me to pursue a career where I can help people learn about and care for the world around them,” Hill said.

Hill has experience working with students and community members through volunteer projects, environmental programs, local summer camps, and swim instruction. She enjoys engaging younger audiences and creating interactive, hands-on educational activities that inspire environmental stewardship.

“What interests me most about environmental education is helping people feel more connected to where they live and showing that even small actions can make a difference,” Hill added.

In her free time, Hill enjoys going to the beach, kayaking, exploring nature trails, and spending time outdoors. Through her new role with Keep Lee County Beautiful, she is excited to continue working with the community and supporting local environmental beautification efforts.

As education specialist, Hill will help share KLCB’s mission to educate and engage the community while raising awareness of local environmental issues. To schedule a presentation for your group or organization, contact Hill at Education@klcb.org.
