Catholic Charities to expand behavioral health services

Catholic Charities Diocese of Venice, Inc., is expanding its behavioral health services to meet an urgent growing need across Southwest Florida, presenting local job opportunities for qualified behavioral health professionals.
“We are adding more behavioral health professionals, expanding locations, and creating new virtual opportunities for people who are struggling to be able to connect with qualified therapists,” said Christopher Root, CEO for Catholic Charities Diocese of Venice, Inc. “These efforts ensure that individuals and families in need can access care quickly, confidentially, and without barriers. Catholic Charities is committed to providing professional, accessible care that is rooted in compassion, dignity, and respect.”
To meet growing demand, Catholic Charities is actively seeking qualified behavioral health professionals, and will offer three virtual interview sessions on Wednesday, Oct. 1, from 10 a.m. to noon (US/Eastern) and 3 to 4 p.m. (US/Eastern), and on Friday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. to noon (US/Eastern). Interested candidates can learn more and register.
Catholic Charities Diocese of Venice expanded mental health service initiative recognizes a growing need, and also responds to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) new “Healing and Hope” program, which is focused on amplifying local engagement on mental health as part of the USCCB’s ongoing National Catholic Mental Health Campaign. “Healing and Hope” encourages local Catholic Parishes to recognize and raise awareness about World Mental Health Day (Oct. 10) by praying for those who struggle with this issue during Masses on the weekend of Oct. 11-12. Also, all are encouraged to pray the Novena for Mental Health in solidarity with Catholics across the United States from Friday, Oct. 10, to Saturday, Oct. 18.
