SJCCA launches membership campaign for new year
The St. James City Civic Association’s (SJCCA) annual membership campaign is underway.
“We would like to invite you to join and support our mission,” it reported.
The SJCCA provided the following information:
– Annual membership dues are $30
– New members may join starting Oct. 1 and receive the rest of this year, plus 2027
– Existing members are still members until the end of the year (dues payments start in January)
– Lifetime membership is $500
– Discounted activity fee of $3 for members and $5 for non-members
– Discounted event vendor fee of $35 for members and $45 for non-members for inside and $25 for members and $35 for non-members for outside
– Discounted garage sale vendor booths of $10 for members and $20 for non-members
– Access to SJCCA’s website
– Access newsletters
– Participation at semi-annual membership meetings
– Access to board meetings as guests
– Access to shuffleboard and equipment
– Opportunity to lead own activity group
– Business promotion space for business card
Long-term residents and those new to Saint James City are invited to join.
“Your membership is more than just supporting the civic association,” it reported. “It is a chance to meet your neighbors, get involved, share ideas and be a part of what makes our island community such a special place to call home.”
Located at the south end of Pine Island in a park-like setting, the SJCCA is a remodeled community center with fun activities and educational programs hosted by members.
The next board meeting is at 6 p.m. Oct. 19 at the SJCCA.
“Our mission is to bring our community together and improve the quality of life for all residents,” it reported. “We believe that by working together, we can create a safer, more vibrant neighborhood of which we can all be proud.”
