Pine Island library announces scheduled programs
The Pine Island Public Library, which is part of the Lee County Library System, is offering the following free programming for the upcoming week:
ADULT PROGRAMS
– Thursday, Oct. 8: Tech Thursdays — One-on-One Help at 2 p.m.
Need help with a phone, tablet or laptop? Are you looking to gain basic computer skills? We are offering 15-minute, one-on-one technology help sessions. Feel free to bring your own device or log on to a computer here to receive direct instruction. We are happy to help you with any questions about your device. Registration is required.
– Wednesday, Oct. 14: Geode Skulls and Potions at 2 p.m.
Create your own spooky geode skull and mysterious potion bottle for Halloween. Dress for mess. Registration is required. A second program will be held Oct. 24; patrons may only register for one.
TEEN PROGRAMS
– Tuesday, Oct. 13: Family Lego Club at 4 p.m.
Join us for fun, hands-on, brick-building activities. All materials are provided, just bring your creativity.

CHILDREN PROGRAMS
– Thursday, Oct. 8: Family Storytime at 10:30 a.m.
For children through age 5 with a participating caregiver. Enjoy books, rhymes, songs and activities. This fun and engaging program offers youths a chance to make friends and build skills through stories, music and movement. Caregivers learn helpful early literacy strategies and tips to continue at home.

The library is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
