Matlacha Hookers selling tickets for Lucky Hook Up
The Matlacha Hookers are giving the community a new way to support local students, while having two dozen chances to win $100 throughout 2027.
The Lucky Hook Up: Hooked on Education fundraiser combines scholarship support with a raffle. For $20, participants will receive a ticket that remains eligible for 24 drawings to be held next year.
Drawings will be held on the first and 15th of every month, with a $100 prize awarded at each drawing.
“What makes the Lucky Hook Up unique is that winning tickets are placed right back into the drawing, meaning the same ticket can win again and again,” the organization reported.
It noted one lucky ticket could potentially win all 24 drawings for a total cash prize of $2,400.
“But the real winner is the Pine Island community,” the organization reported.
Proceeds from the Lucky Hook Up will help fund scholarships for Pine Island students, giving participants an opportunity to support local education while enjoying a little excitement.
The fundraiser reflects the Matlacha Hookers’ commitment to giving back to the community.
“Twenty dollars — 24 chances to win, while helping build a bigger tomorrow for student scholars,” it reported. “Win. Give back. Keep the good going!”
