Local musicians head into studio to record new tracks
A new chapter in the musical journey of brothers Warren and Gregory Van Kirk is beginning as the duo prepares to schedule recording sessions at the Sonic Recording Studio in Cape Coral.
For the Van Kirks, the sessions are an opportunity to bring their musical ideas to life, develop new material, and capture the energy and chemistry that comes from creating music together. Their time at Sonic promises to be an exciting step forward as they continue to pursue their passion for music.
The choice of the studio also brings with it a notable piece of recording history. Founded by Bo Davis in 1989, it has welcomed an impressive roster of musicians and performers throughout the years. Among those are Zakk Wylde, Brian Howe of Bad Company, Pat Travers, Rickey Medlocke of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jeff Carlisi of 38 Special and Steve Sanders of the Oak Ridge Boys, among others.
The Sonic Recording Studio has combined traditional recording techniques with modern technology, giving artists a professional environment to develop and preserve their music. With the Van Kirks bringing their own ideas and style into it, listeners will have something new to look forward to when the sessions are complete.
Raised on Pine Island, the brothers perform frequently in the community.
