Bridge Beat
Bridge is played at 12:30 p.m. every Wednesday at the Fishers of Men Lutheran Church in St. James City.
The winners on Sept. 30 were: Mary Tobias, first place; Carolyn Morrow, second place; and Barb Carrier, third place. Tobias and Morrow also bid and made a grand slam.
In addition, Mary Ann Kuhn’s 100th birthday was recently celebrated.
Anyone wishing to play is welcome and does not need a partner. It costs $3 to play, some of which goes back to the winners of the game.
