Pine Island Boat Club enjoys Green Flash

The Pine Island Boat Club, led by Rosemary and Peter Henry, recently ran six boats over to the Green Flash for a fun (funny) and delightful lunch. The Green Flash was very accommodating, and club members will come back again. The weather has been cooperating lately, and April was a busy month with four activities for the members. First Baptist Church of Pine Island to hold Vacation Bible School

First Baptist Church of Pine Island will be hosting Vacation Bible School) Tuesday, June 9, Wednesday, June 10, and Thursday, June 11, from 6:30-8:30 p.m.  FBCOPI is located at 5363 Ave D., Bokeelia, at The Center, across the street from Pine Island Elementary School.  This VBS is for ages 5 years old to 12 years old at no cost.  There will be Bible lessons, crafts, snacks, games (you may even get wet) and more.  Please arrive at 6:15 p.m. to register your student.  For more information, please contact the church office at (239) 283-1737 or email fbcopi@gmail.com.

Blood drive Saturday at Pine Island Moose Lodge

The Lee Health Bloodmobile will be visiting The Pine Island Moose Lodge at 8903 Stringfellow Road in St. James City on Saturday, May 30, from 8 a.m. to noon.  At Lee Health, donated blood goes to help save the lives of patients at your community-owned hospitals:  Lee Memorial Hospital, HealthPark Medical Center, Golisano Children’s Hospital of SW Florida, Gulf Coast Medical Center and Cape Coral Hospital.  In addition to the five hospitals, our blood center also services the Level II Trauma Center at Lee Memorial Hospital and the Regional Cancer Center at the Sanctuary.
