Mariner’s Narcisse selected Breeze Athlete of the Month for January
The votes are in for the Cape Coral Breeze’s January Athlete of the Month, and the winner is Mariner High School’s Saniya Narcisse.
The senior was a two-discipline weightlifting champion in Region 2A-13 in both Olympic and Traditional weightlifting, with lifts of 275 pounds and 340 pounds in the respective categories.
“It feels well-earned after everything I’ve been through. I’m proud and grateful to be at this level in my senior year. I wouldn’t have accomplished this without my coaches and teammates pushing me. This is not the end, as I am ready to take first at regionals.”
