Members of Pine Island Dance IMPACT team shine in competition

Two young dancers from the Pine Island Dance IMPACT team recently placed first in a national dance competition in Orlando.
“They attended Starpower National Dance competition in Orlando and were 1st place division champions and placed 3rd overall winners in the whole competition,” Pine Island Dance owner and director Carolyn Helin said.
Mea Pellicane, 9, and Kylee Anders, 10 were the two dancers who competed at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel in Lake Buena Vista.
“I am very proud of all my dancers and the accomplishments they have conquered this year and look forward to many more years of success,” Helin said.
Both of the girls received a perfect five out of five stars at the Star Power Regional Dance Competition at the Lakeland Center in April.
This was the first National Competition for Pine Island Dance.
