Hot off his highly successful Tiki Island Radio Tiki Bar Tour, Renn Loren is turning right around and heading out on his Somewhere South of Somewhere.... Still North of Nowhere! Tour in support of his new album.
Hawaii-born and Norway/Florida-based (Punta Gorda) singer-songwriter Loren has rapidly gained recognition with his very own unique brand of "honky tonk-tiki rock" music which combines elements of island style, country, Latin, Americana, Caribbean, Cajun and Tex-Mex all blended up into one rockin' rollicking tequila-drenched, sun-soaked country-beach-rock sound that is highly dance and party-friendly. He recorded the upcoming Somewhere South of Somewhere.... Still North of Nowhere! Album on a houseboat with producer Ian Shaw in Key West.
This past spring and summer found Loren & His Tiki Town Castaways touring The Keys and the Gulf Coast states playing such venues as Flora-Bama, Skipper's Smokehouse, Landshark Landing/Margaritaville Hotel, Smokin' Tuna Saloon, Rum Barrel, the Bull & Whistle, Virgilios, Celtic Ray, Nav-A-Gator, Biehl's Slip Not, Fisherman's Village, Whiskey Joe's, and Low Key Tiki to name a few.
With his wide range of styles, Loren tends to attract everyone from Parrot Head Club followings to fans of country, rock and reggae.
Together with his fellow islander sidekick, Renn & Jocky have become known as: "those two Hawaiian guys who are doing new things with Trop Rock music!"
Loren will be playing at Low Key Tiki on Thursday, Dec. 5, from 6-8:30 p.m.
