To the editor:
Better then the alternative. How many times have we heard that expression? I can see an atheist saying that but surely not a religious person. I feel sorry for the atheist. They have nothing to look forward to. On earth we have plenty to look forward to. Weddings, births, golf, ball games, T.V. shows, etc. But heaven promises rewards far exceeding all these. Plus, I have tried to envision what heaven would be like. It's mind boggling. Haven't a clue, but it's nice to have that waiting for us.
Of course some will go up and some will go down.
I'm afraid of depths.
Sometimes just for the heck of it, try imaging what heaven would be like. It's hard.
Going to another subject. The python hunt. The news said it was a success. They killed three-dozen pythons. Doing the math. Three-dozen from a hundred and some thousand doesn't strike me as bring a success. If it was three-dozen per man, that might qualify as a success. If it was three-dozen per man, that might qualify as a success. But of course we're talking about government agencies so I guess in their eyes it was a success.
Back to heaven, a place without lying, cheating, robbery, murder. Happy for eternity. Maybe some day we'll by saying "have a good death" instead of "have a good day." And I doubt if there would be any politicians or obnoxious car dealers in heaven or products made in China. Peace be with you.
