Pine Island welcomes Sgt. James M. Ward

USMC Sgt. James M. Ward, who has served his country for four years, recently re-enlisted for six years more. He has served two tours in Iraq and just returned on April 11, from a tour in Afghanistan.

A career Marine, James is applying to MCECP, the Marine Corps Enlisted Officer Commissioning Program, which he will, if approved, attend college in California for four years and commissioned 2nd Lt upon completion. James has been selected to attend US Army Jump School from June 14, to July 7.

His grandfather, Ron Ward, a Pine Island resident and former US Marine and his father Mike Ward, a US Army vet, his uncle Dr. Mark Ward, a US Navy vet and his cousin Chris Ward a US Air Force career, are all very proud of him.
