Safety lights and pet locator kits

Your fire department provides many community outreach programs. Two of those initiatives, — safety lights and pet locater kits — are available.
Safety lights are provided in an effort to keep our students safe and visible while walking to school or waiting for a bus. The lights can be turned on to display a blinking light or can serve as a reflector while turned off.
While our initial purpose was to provide these lights to our students, we have moved to also provide them for anyone else that would like to be more visible during the early morning or evening.
The pet locator program is a district-wide platform to keep our pets safe. These are decals designed for fire personnel in the case of a fire to alert them that an animal might be trapped inside. The sticker can be easily placed on a window or front door of your residence. The pet locator kit comes with three reflective stickers that are easily visible with any light source.
The lights and stickers are available at Station 1 (at The Center), located at 5700 Pine Island Road, Bokeelia, 33922. If you have any questions regarding these or any other programs, please give us a call at 239-283-0030.
