Mahjongg Scores
On July 29, we enjoyed our weekly Mahjongg Game at the St. James Civic Center Association despite such obstacles as the A/C being out in the small room followed by a blown transformer leaving us without lights, fans and A/C. Did that deter us…? Nah, we moved the table and chairs by the window to see better and the games continued. Thanks to our hardworking electric company who responded promptly, we were back with lights A/C – fans.
We had 2 tables of 4 players with 2 players at the “float” table who were enjoying an ongoing game of Siamese Majnongg until it was their turn to re-enter the main game.
Kathy Richardson earned top honors this week with 165 points! Judy Burchianti did well today taking 2nd place with her score of 105 points. Lastly, Clem (sorry no last name written down) had 90 points for 3rd place.
We are going to change up the scoring as of next week to keep y’all on top of your defensive playing skills. Now you will be penalized a minus 25 points if you give away mahjongg to your opponent that has 3 exposures.
Come join “The Ladies Of The Tiles” every Thursday afternoon. Game starts promptly at 1 p.m. and ends approximately at 4 p.m.
