Norm’s Tasting Notes: 2019 Josh Cellars Chardonnay

The North Georgia Wine Advisor
2019 Josh Cellars Chardonnay
#11-2021
When chicken needs to be more than chicken, like on a Saturday Night, just add wine. Put in a little garlic, butter, bacon and spices with cognac and red wine, and you have Coq au Vin, which is one of my favorite dishes prepared by the Chardonnay Queen. We also added a bottle of Josh Cellars Chardonnay to make Saturday Night Dinner a real hit!
The Josh Chardonnay has a bright, fruit accented nose, leading to flavors of pear, apple, and a bit of juicy peach. The peachy sweetness is balanced by the apple acidity, and a touch of oak, to produce a crisp and clean finish. The alcohol content is 13.5%, and Norm’s score is 88.
A bottle of Josh Cellars Chardonnay and Coq au Vin would make anyone’s Saturday Night Dinner a good one! This Sonoma California Chard would also make a good companion for seafood, ranging from Poached Flounder to Blackened Red Fish.
