Florida’s Creative Coast weekends started in October, have reeved up in November and continue through April. This takes place the second weekend of each month. The Matlacha galleries will have extended hours on both Friday and Saturday night and will offer a variety of workshops and demonstrations throughout the weekend. The Singer/Songwriter concerts at the Olde Fish House Marina in Matlacha began last month with Kip Lawrence and guest artists and are free to the public. Each month will feature a different singer/songwriter with a flair for putting island traditions, folklore and pastimes into their lyrics and music. Local restaurants will feature music and menu special and for guests coming to stay for the weekend, many of the island’s lodging will offer weekend specials.
