Give your hours to God this Christmas
I love Christmas time! I tend to relive in my mind Christmas’ of long ago. I sometimes wish for those moments to return. I think of how easy things were when I was a child and all I had to do was homework and stare at the Christmas tree. Now, there are a million, five hundred and seventy-two things to do today! How will I ever get everything done? How will I show up at all the parties, meetings, not to mention all the shopping that I have to get done and juggle Charli Su’ and her creative lifestyle?
Well the good news is–I don’t! I don’t have to get it “all” done or be everywhere! All I really have to do is wake up in the morning and give my hours to God. He will get done through me what He wants to get done. I have to remember it is not my agenda it is God’s agenda for my life that will be accomplished. God says to us, “Be still and know that I am God.” What perfect time to practice this verse than at Christmas when our worlds are chaotic!
“Be still and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)
God is in control, not us, this Christmas let’s allow God to be in control and all we have to do is wake up and surrender our hours to Him. I am sure we will watch many miracles happen this Christmas if we practice this verse.
