Here’s hoping for an extended ‘season’

2 min read

Hello all again from the chamber.

We hope you have been as busy as we have. The “season that never was” is coming to an end with huge hopes of an extended season. I have spoken with many people who waited to come down from the Great White North due to our very cold winter. This may give us all some extra time to prosper this year if they stay longer than normal.

Spring is in the air and it is time to get our grounds back in order. Now is a great time to clean up the outside areas, trim the shrubs and trees, pull all those weeds and watch everything flourish once again. The Chamber has been working hard trying to beautify its building, but with the cold weather, it was delayed halfway through. I would like to thank all the people who have volunteered all of the time, effort, and hard work that has gone into the new grounds at the chamber office. Keep up the great work, guys!

Many of our trees have been donated by our Pine Island growers and are much appreciated. (We would not have been able to do it without them.) Please feel free to stop by and check out the hard work in progress. The grounds really are starting to look like something to be proud of.

Don’t forget that MangoMania is creeping up on us fast. If you have any questions about the upcoming event please call Leslie at the office and she would be happy to answer them. There is still a need for volunteers, vendors, and sponsors to make this MangoMania the biggest and best one yet. Don’t forget, it is a great way to give your business huge exposure to thousands of people and let them know where your business is and what you have to offer. Don’t miss out on the opportunity we have to offer you as an Island destination place.

Thanks to all members for your support, and please know we are here for you working hard to bring business to us all.

We would like to welcome the newest chamber member:
