Chamber forms government affairs committee

3 min read

Another month is here and time just keeps flying by. So I thought that Pine Island was in Southwest Florida? One would wonder the way the weather has been. I keep telling everyone that I am going to move south next year to get away from the cold (ha ha). This has been an unseasonably cold winter and I’m not liking it at all. Where are the warm, sunny days that we are used to? The snow birds are here and can’t even enjoy our many outdoor activities that we have to offer without freezing. Hang in there – soon we will all be warm and tan the way we are all used to.

The new board is already hard at work for their members digging right in to the new year. We formed a government affairs committee late last year and this committee has bitten off a huge mouthful to swallow. Please remember we are here for you and are willing to help in any way we can. We have already assisted some members with county issues, with appearances at meetings with them, or through written communications. If you would like to participate on this committee, we welcome your participation and knowledge.

MangoMania meetings and planning are underway and coming along. MangoMania is the single most important event that the Chamber has to offer. This event keeps the Chamber’s doors open each year providing us with the bulk funds to pay the bills. With this in mind please support MangoMania in any way you can. It is a great way to give your business some extra exposure and show thousands of people what you are about. If you are interested in having a booth at this great event please contact your Chamber office for details.
