To the editor:
This is the message now coming from the Biden spin doctors. Yes, the economy is in great shape so don’t worry about a thing, “The Big Guy” is making your lives just peachy and anything to the contrary is just Russian disinformation, right-wing conspiracy theories or MAGA terrorists attempting to defame this president. Inflation is only transitory, open borders are healthy for America and so is defunding the police and rising crime. Joe “the genius'” move of bailing out on Afghanistan and his miraculous leadership navigating the freest country of the entire free world and guiding Ukraine’s allies to a path for immediate cessation of Russia’s aggressions against it could have only been achieved by a Democrat. Wait, is the war over?
Sorry, black is not white, and Biden is no leader. A real leader would have intervened early on when it became obvious from our military intelligence that the massing of troops was only one reason to be suspicious of Russia – it was all the support staff and supplies being marshalled that told everyone, even Biden, that an invasion was imminent. Biden did nothing to stop it because he had no idea what to do. Immediate meetings with Putin, not on Zoom or TEAMS, but face to face would have been a good start and serious negotiations from a real leader with Putin may have avoided thousands of unnecessary deaths in a senseless war that only made sense to Putin.
Biden knows how to give away the store, he has done that his entire political life in order to get what he wants but was likely told by his cowardly party to just let them do whatever they were going to do as intervention and leadership in this crisis would have “political risks and possible election consequences.” If he failed, he would look bad but if he did nothing, like the rest of the free world, he could not be blamed for Putin’s maniacal invasion of Ukraine.
The excesses of Biden and the Dem’s created this inflationary spiral for the largest economy in the world and when the United States catches a cold, the rest of the free world catches pneumonia, which is exactly what happened. We have led from behind since Biden took office but that will change in November when all the rotten eggs laid by this administration will hatch and come home to roost. “Making America Great Again” means making all Americans more free, more independent and providing opportunities for every American, not just those from one political ideology.
